Enamel and Diamond 18ct Gold Necklace – Lot 4
Estimate: £480–£540
A refined and elegant antique necklace featuring a delicate interplay of blue enamel and old-cut diamonds set in a yellow metal chain testing as 18ct gold. The necklace is designed with three evenly spaced blue enamel plaques, each set with old-cut diamonds — a diamond-cutting style that predates the modern brilliant cut and is highly prized by collectors for its warm, romantic sparkle.
The necklace measures 435mm in length and has a gross weight of 8.85 grams. The combination of sky-blue enamel and old-cut diamonds on a yellow gold chain is characteristic of fine jewellery from the Victorian or Edwardian periods, making this a genuinely collectable piece with strong visual appeal.
Condition note: There is minor enamel damage to one plaque and a small nick to the enamel on another plaque. These are consistent with age and do not detract significantly from the overall beauty of the piece.
This lot forms part of Drake’s Auctions’ upcoming Jewellery, Collectables & Militaria sale on Monday 16th March 2026 at 10am. View Lot 4 in the full catalogue and register to bid here.
