We are delighted to report sensational results from our recent 21st September Live Auction, where two extraordinary pieces of rock ‘n’ roll history—a fully autographed Queen LP and a signed diplomatic invitation card, realised a combined total of £17,637.95 (inclusive of buyer’s premium). Another one bites the dust!

Boasting rock-solid provenance directly from a British Embassy official who attended the private reception in Budapest during Queen’s 1986 ‘Magic’ Tour, both items ignited fierce international interest well before the hammer fell. Following a flurry of pre-auction commission bids, the live bidding opened to a heated battle among multiple internet participants before narrowing down to a tense, head-to-head duel between two phone bidders. In the end, a single determined buyer showed that they wanted it all and secured both historic lots.

Individual Lot Results

• Queen ‘The Works’ Fully Signed LP (1984): Signed on the front sleeve by Freddie Mercury, Brian May, Roger Taylor, and John Deacon, dated ’86. Hammer Price: £6,600.
• Signed British Embassy Reception Invitation Card (1986): Signed on the reverse by all four band members during the Budapest reception on 24th July 1986. Hammer Price: £7,600.
